The Story in Qatar
We've turned our innovative vision into a reality. In Qatar, we successfully deployed our patented membranes across multiple groundwater sources, treating water with salinity levels from 6,000 to 21,000 ppm at wells and farms.
Our results demonstrate the superior performance of our technology:
Higher Production: Our advanced membranes produced up to 30% more fresh water compared to leading commercial membranes, all while operating at lower pressure and maintaining exceptional salt rejection.
Long-Term Reliability: The membranes have proven their operational stability for over a year with no decline in performance, consistently maintaining low pressure and a long lifespan.
Beyond the Limits: When tested at a coastal site with extremely high seawater salinity of 45,000 ppm, our membranes delivered outstanding desalination performance, surpassing the limits of conventional SWRO membranes that typically cannot operate effectively beyond 32,000 ppm.
Through these real-world innovations, GEWT is setting a new benchmark in water treatment efficiency and reliability, tailoring sustainable solutions to the unique water challenges of Qatar and the wider region.
